Emanuel Arang Awet, 31, of Cedars Avenue, Birmingham has been charged with possession of crack cocaine with intent to supply, possession of heroin with intent to supply, possession of cannabis and assaulting an emergency worker.
He was arrested after plain clothed officers from Warwickshire Police Proactive CID stopped him in Tonnes Court Yard, Atherstone yesterday (Thursday 20 August) morning as part of an ongoing investigation.
The officers seized drugs during the arrest and more drugs were seized following a search of a nearby property.
During the search one of the officers was allegedly bitten, suffering a minor injury to her arm.
Arang Awet will appear at Coventry Magistrates’ Court today.
