As Warwickshire welcomes the men's OVO Energy Tour of Britain on 13 September, police are urging local residents to be aware of road closures and plan their journeys.
The race starts at 11am at Warwick Racecourse and finishes at around 4.15pm at Burton Dassett County Park
More than 100,000 people are expected to line the along the route which passes through Warwick, Leek Wootton, Kenilworth, University of Warwick, Berkswell, Meriden, Fillongley, Atherstone, Mancetter, Hartshill, Ansley, Astley, Bedworth Heath, Bedworth, Bulkington, Shilton, Brinklow, Long Lawford, Cawston, Dunchurch, Kites Hardwick, Leamington Hastings, Birdingbury, Marton, Princethorpe, Eathorpe, Ashorne, Wellesbourne, Pillerton Priors, Edgehill, Warmington and Burton Dassett
Inspector Daren Webster said: "Following the success of previous tours in Warwickshire over the past couple of years we're delighted to welcome the tour back again this year. It will be wonderful to see some of the world's top cyclists battling it out in a televised individual time trial on the streets of our county.
"To allow the race to pass through there will be fixed road closures in place throughout the day to allow the race to start and finish safely.
“While inevitably there will be disruption due to the nature of the event, the event organisers will keep this to a minimum.
“Our Safer Neighbourhood Teams will be in attendance for community engagement and reassurance.”
