A man has been arrested following a robbery at an Arley shop.
Police were called following the incident at the shop in Gun Hill at around 10.55am yesterday (Thursday 31 October).
Armed officers arrested the 34-year-old man from Birmingham on a bus in Camp Hill Road, Nuneaton*.
Detective Sergeant Dave Moorman from Nuneaton CID said: “The suspect has been questioned by detectives and bailed until November while enquiries continue.
“We’re continuing to ask anyone with information to contact police.”
Anyone who can help police with their enquiries should call 101 quoting incident 376 of 31 October 2019. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
*Note to media: Please note a change to the location of the arrest. We originally reported he was arrested in Plough Hill Road. The arrest actually took place in Camp Hill Road.
