Warwickshire Police is appealing for witnesses or information following an attempted robbery in Bedworth yesterday morning.
At around 5.45am, a woman in her 50s was walking on Nuneaton Road when she was assaulted by an unknown man.
He then demanded from the victim, before leaving on foot towards Marston Lane. He did not steal anything.
The victim sustained facial injuries and received medical treatment.
The suspect is described as white, 5ft 8in, with long fair hair. He spoke with a local accent.
A number of enquiries are currently ongoing and investigating officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the offence or who may have dashcam footage.
