Alcohol

It is against the law:

  • To sell alcohol to someone under the age of 18
  • For an adult to buy or attempt to buy or attempt to buy alcohol for someone under the age of 18
  • For someone under the age of 18 to buy or attempt to buy alcohol

You can:

  • You can be bought beer wine, cider or wine, if you are having a meal at a a table in  restaurant area, you have to be with some one aged 18 or over.
  • Sell alcohol if you work in a premise where alcohol is sold, such as a supermarket,  another employee  who is 18 or older has to approve the transaction.

If we the Police suspect someone under 18 has alcohol in a public place, we have the power to confiscate it.

We also have the power to confiscate alcohol form anyone, no matter their age if we believe it has been or will will drunk by someone under 18 in a public place.
