Warwickshire Police offering apprentices the chance to earn while they learn with new Enquiry Officer roles

Warwickshire Police is offering people the opportunity to learn valuable new skills while enjoying a competitive salary with two new Enquiry Officer Apprenticeship roles up for grabs.

The force's apprentice scheme offers a range of opportunities to join the police family, providing valuable workplace skills while offering support towards a professional apprenticeship.

Warwickshire Police is currently seeking to recruit two Enquiry Officer Apprentices, based at Rugby and Leamington Spa Police Stations. The successful apprentices will be responsible for providing a high quality service to both internal and external customers, dealing with initial enquiries from members of the public and recording incidents and crime reports on police systems.

Assistant Chief Constable Alex Franklin-Smith said: "Supporting our young people and giving them a step onto the employment ladder is hugely important to Warwickshire Police. Their enthusiasm and fresh ideas makes a very positive difference to us.

"In return, we offer a good salary, access to an apprenticeship network, opportunities to experience working in other areas of the force to gain a wider understanding of the organisation, and supervision and mentoring throughout the apprenticeship.

"This is an opportunity to learn much more than just how to deliver excellent customer service. The apprenticeships cover how the force operates, an understanding of our customers and how our apprentices can influence a positive customer experience. What's more, these roles offer great insight into the wide variety of further opportunities available, and at the end of the apprenticeship the successful candidates will have the chance to apply for any current vacancies within Warwickshire Police."

Warwickshire Police has taken on several apprentices over the years in a variety of roles, including within human resources, ICT, transport, finance, paralegal and support administration. Daniel Staples is a Level 3 Finance Apprentice with Warwickshire Police. He said: "Warwickshire Police has offered great opportunities to further my career whilst receiving excellent training in order to become competent.

"I've been proud of how quickly I have managed to gain an understanding of what my role consists of. The best thing about working for the police is their eagerness to help you develop your skills and knowledge."

The closing date for both roles is 14 August. To find out more and to apply, go to www.warwickshire.police.uk/apprentices.
