Police appeal for information following attempted robbery, Exhall

Incident 439 of 20 July 2019

Police are appealing for information after a woman was injured in an attempted robbery that took place at around 9pm on Friday 20 July 2019 in Grant Road, Exhall, Coventry.

The attempted robbery is believed to have occurred when the woman was approached by two males in the street, and one of them demanded money and her phone.

The same male then assaulted her by grabbing her and causing her to fall to the floor where he has further assaulted her by hitting her. As a result of the incident the woman suffered facial injuries.  The men fled empty handed.

The woman called police who as a precaution called an ambulance that took the woman to George Elliot Hospital, Nuneaton for her injuries to be assessed and treated. 

The male who assaulted the woman is described as a white male, aged late teens to 21 years, medium build, 6 foot tall, dark hair, wearing a dark coloured tracksuit top and bottoms.

The male accompanying him is also described as a white male, aged late teens to 21 years, wearing dark clothing.

Any witnesses or anyone with information that could help identify the males is please asked to call Warwickshire Police on 101 quoting incident 439 of 20 July 2019.
