Man appears in court on Atherstone attempted robbery charge

A man has appeared in court in Leamington on a charge of attempted robbery and possession of a bladed article.

It follows an incident in Atherstone on Monday (24 June) where a man armed with knives walked in to Aldi in Station Street. He demanded money from staff before leaving empty handed.

Harbourne was also charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice after it is alleged he provided false details following his arrest.

Corey Harbourne, 24, of no fixed abode, appeared at Warwick Crown Court yesterday (Wednesday 26 June).

He was remanded in custody to appear at Warwick Crown Court on 25 July 2019.
