Two males arrested after vehicle collides with police car in Barton Road, Nuneaton

Two males have been arrested after a vehicle collided with a police car in Barton Road, Nuneaton.

The incident occurred at around 3.15pm on Friday (14 June) when an officer approached the suspects' car after it was spotted acting suspiciously. As the officer approached, the vehicle fled the scene colliding with the police car and narrowly missing the officer.

A few minutes later police received reports the vehicle had collided with a wall in nearby Featherstone Close.

The two males were arrested after being found in nearby gardens.

Officers also seized a quantity of crack cocaine.

An 18-year-old man from Nuneaton was arrested on suspicion of assault, dangerous driving, possession of class A drugs with intent to supply and driving under the influence of drugs.

A 14-year-old boy from Nuneaton was arrested on suspicion of assault.

Both suspects have been bailed until July while enquiries continue.
