Appeal for witnesses following distraction burglary - Nuneaton

Warwickshire Police is appealing for witnesses or information following a distraction burglary in Nuneaton on Wednesday (5 June).

At around 1.45pm, a male and female knocked on the door of an elderly woman's house on The Long Shoot.

When the victim opened the door, the two suspects pretended to know her and hugged her, before entering the house.

The suspects are described as a male around 17 years old, and a girl believed to be aged about 14.

If anyone witnessed the offence or any suspicious behaviour in the area, or may have dashcam footage in this location, please call Warwickshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 245 of 5 June 2017.

Alternatively, information can be given anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their website.
