Police Appeal Following Incident At Bus Stop Near Welford-On-Avon

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after an incident at a bus stop near Welford-On-Avon.

The incident happened on the B439, Evesham Road at the Welford-On-Avon junction at around 12.35pm on Monday 2 February.

A man pulled up in a small white van, got out and grabbed the victim, a 20-year-old woman, by the arm and offered her a lift. She declined his offer and the man released her arm and drove off.

The victim was not hurt during the incident but was left very shaken.

The man is described as white, aged in his late 30s to early 40s, of a slight build, around five foot eight tall, with grey/blue eyes and mousey brown hair.

PC Pete Hayes, the investigating officer, said: "This incident happened on a busy road in broad daylight. I ask for anyone who saw the vehicle in question or a man acting suspiciously in the area at the time to contact police."
