Police confirm Bedworth murder investigation after body of man discovered in house

Police have confirmed they are investigating a murder after the body of a man was discovered at a house in Bulkington Road, Bedworth, yesterday (Monday 6 May) afternoon.

Police received a call at 1.25pm raising concern for the man and officers forced entry to the house where they discovered his body.

Detectives are awaiting formal identification but at this time they believe the deceased is a 33-year-old man.

Officers are awaiting a post mortem to establish the cause of death.

A police cordon remains in place at the house.

Detective Inspector Lisa Sears said: "We are treating this incident as murder and are currently working to establish the exact circumstances leading up to the man's death. We're keen to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area or has any information that could help with our enquiries.

"At this time we believe the victim and the offenders were known to each other."

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 200 of 6 May 2019. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
