Body found in Bedworth

Police have launched an investigation after a body was found in a house in Warwickshire.

Earlier this afternoon (Monday 6 May) police attended an address in Bulkington Road in Bedworth where the body of a man was found.

The man's death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are being carried out.

There is an increased police presence in the area and a cordon is in place.

Detective Inspector Jackie McBrearty said: "On Monday afternoon a body was found inside an address in Bulkington Road. The death is currently being treated as unexplained and we're appealing for anyone with information that may assist with our enquiries to come forward and speak to us.

"There is an increased police presence in the area, both to carry out enquiries and to offer reassurance to local residents and we'd like to thank local residents for their cooperation and understanding as we deal with this incident."
