A man armed with a knife went into The Co-op in Copper Beech Road, Nuneaton, at around 9.45pm and demanded money.

The offender took a quantity of cash and made off on foot.

Detective Sergeant David Moorman said: "Fortunately nobody was injured but understandably staff have been left extremely shaken by this terrifying ordeal.

"I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time who may have seen this man or anyone acting suspiciously to contact police."

The man is described as being around 6 foot tall and of slim build.

Anyone with information should call Warwickshire Police on 101 quoting incident 411 of 22 April 2019.
