Police are appealing for witnesses following robbery

Police are appealing for witnesses or information following the robbery of a woman in Bedworth yesterday (Thursday 28 March) evening.

At around 7.55pm, a woman in her 50s was getting out of her car in Gibson Crescent when a group of men wearing balaclavas surrounded her and attempted to steal her car key.

Passers by intervened and the men fled on foot with the car key in the direction of Briardene Avenue. Officers believe they drove off in a Seat.

The victim was uninjured but left badly shaken.

Anyone with information, please call police on 101, quoting incident 338 of 28 March 2019.
