Man who died in Bedworth collision named

A man who died in a collision in Bedworth on Monday (25 February) has been named.

A bike was being ridden towards the A444 on Newtown Road at around 1.30pm when it is understood to have collided with an HGV lorry.

The cyclist - who has been named as Antony Bolton - was pronounced deceased at the scene.

His family said: "Family and friends wish to confirm the cyclist involved in this fatal accident was Tony.

"Antony Bolton, 53, was a father and a grandfather. During this time, family and friends would like to ask social media and press to kindly respect their privacy."

Enquiries are ongoing and officers remain keen to speak with anyone who saw the incident, was in the area at the time, or has dashcam footage of the collision.

Anyone with information is asked to call Warwickshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 176 of 25 February.
