Police release CCTV image following Dordon armed Robbery at The Co-Op, New Street

Incident 132 of 6 February 2019 Officers investigating an armed robbery at the Co-op in New Street, Dordon that took place at around 11.20hours on 6 February 2019 have released a CCTV image of a male they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

The male is described as a 'pale skinned' white male with dark brown or black hair.

Officers are investigating whether the male may have connections with Stechford / Yardley, Accocks Green, Chelmsley Wood / Shard End area of Birmingham and are asking the public to help them identify him.

Following the incident, a 38 year old male from Acocks Green, Birmingham and a 29 year old female from Birmingham were arrested after a warrant was executed by West Midlands Police on 8 February 2019 on suspicion of robbery. Police have also seized a silver Peugeot vehicle believed to have been used in the robbery.

Following questioning, the male and female were released on conditional police bail pending further enquiries.

Cash and cigarettes are believed to have been stolen during the robbery. Fortunately noone was injured and although staff were shaken, medical treatment was not required.

Police are also keen to hear from residents in the Small Heath area who may have captured a silver Peugeot on their CCTV on 6 February 2019 and are willing to help police with this investigation.
