Thieves steal Shipston ATM in ram raid

Police are appealing for information after thieves ram raided a shop in Shipston on Stour and stole the ATM.

Officers from Warwickshire Police were called to the Co-op in High Street at 2.42am this morning (Monday 18 February).

Officers arrived to find extensive damage to the shop and the ATM missing. A yellow digger was left at the scene.

Following a search of the area, a Mitsubishi was located containing the stolen ATM. The thieves were unsuccessful in obtaining any money from it.

Enquiries are ongoing and witnesses with information can call 101 quoting incident 18 of 18 February 2018. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
