Three arrested following robbery in Nuneaton and 100mph police pursuit

A robbery in Nuneaton in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday 29 January) resulted in a 100mph police pursuit which came to an end when a stinger was deployed in Allsley, Coventry.

Police initially responded to a report at 12.24am that a 17-year-old boy had been attacked and robbed in Queen's Road, Nuneaton.

A short time later, police spotted a suspicious vehicle on the A46 near Coventry. The car failed to stop and it was pursued along the A45 where it hit speeds of 100mph on the wrong side of the road.

The pursuit came to an end in Allsley and the three men were arrested in connection with the robbery and driving offences.

A 17-year-old boy from Solihull was arrested on suspicion of robbery and possession of cannabis.

An 18-year-old man from Studley was arrested on suspicion of robbery, failing to stop, dangerous driving and driving while disqualified.

An 18-year-old boy from Solihull was arrested on suspicion of robbery.

All three are currently in custody.
