This is our latest weekly report and prompt to see if you have any questions, suggestions or concerns for the Alcester Police South SNT. Thank you to those that have contacted us this week.

Incidents of note from the last week:-


  • *Suspicious Circumstances. Gunnings Road, Alcester. Person seen pushing a shopping trolley with bottles inside. A vehicle then pulled up and the bottles were put into the car which then drove off. Description of persons involved and the vehicle passed to police. 1.10pm Monday 21st January. 0205 21/01/2019


  • *Vehicle Crime. Car Park, Redhill. Rear window of car smashed and items taken from inside, including two laptops, sports bag and various pieces of paperwork. Approx. 5.45pm Reported 23rd January. 0171 23/01/2019


  • *Suspicious Circumstances. Alne Hills, Great Alne. Men going door to door selling fish. They were in a white plain van. Caller concerned. 2.30pm Tuesday 22nd January. 0329 22/01/2019


  • *Road Traffic Collision. Bidford centre. Two vehicle, non-injury RTC. One of the drivers involved arrested for providing a positive breath test at the scene. 6.40pm Friday 25th January. 0332 25/01/2019

  • *Vehicle Crime. Dugdale Avenue, Bidford. Front number plate stolen from car. Possibly stolen on the 17th January. 0200 24/01/2019

  • *Vehicle Crime. Marleigh Road, Bidford. Entry made to car and search made. Rear light lens also smashed. Between 23rd & 24th January. 0098 24/01/2019

  • *Burglary Residential. Wixford Road, Bidford. Offender(s) have forced open the doors to a Tack Room. Untidy search made. Items stolen including a Stihl Strimmer. Between 22nd & 23rd January. 0072 23/01/2019

  • *Burglary Business. Shop, Bidford. Several men seen breaking into the front of the shop. They have then gained entry stealing items from inside. This has also triggered a security smoke screen. Dark coloured VW Golf seen at the time with a registration number ending in 'PVP'. This vehicle then made off towards the main B439 roundabout and then towards the Salford Road. 12.52am Wednesday 23rd January. 0007 23/01/2019

  • *Vehicle Crime. Roman Close, Bidford. Vehicle on driveway entered and searched. Nothing stolen. Reported 22nd January. 0196 22/01/2019

  • *Burglary Residential. Icknield Street, Bidford. Secure garden shed broken into and items stolen, including a drill and sander. Reported 22nd January. 0089 22/01/2019. One of the items stolen was later found in Roman Close, Bidford.

  • *Suspicious Circumstances. Dugdale Avenue, Bidford. Car parked in the avenue and a male from it went into the playing fields and picked up a package. Caller concerned that this looked suspicious. Area checked by police and items from a recent shed burglary was found in the fields. Items recovered by police. Details of the car and person passed to police. 10pm Monday 21st January. 0431 21/01/2019. Good call by member of the public.

  • *Burglary Residential. Icknield Street, Bidford. Offender(s) have tried to jemmy open door to outbuilding. This was unsuccessful and entry not gained. Nothing stolen. Reported 21st January. 0163 21/01/2019

  • *Burglary Residential. Victoria Road, Bidford. Offender(s) have forced open door to garden shed and have gained entry. £3,500 worth of fishing equipment has then been stolen. Overnight 20th & 21st January. 0158 21/01/2019. Items found in field off Dugdale avenue.

  • *Vehicle Crime. Icknield Street, Bidford. Secure works van broken into and tools stolen, including drills and a crowbar. Reported morning of Monday 21st January. 0132 21/01/2019

  • *Vehicle Crime. Grange Road, Bidford. Doors on works van found open. Nothing stolen. Morning of Monday 21st January. 0117 21/01/2019

  • *Vehicle Crime. Orchard Close, Bidford. Vehicle entered and items stolen including cash and iPod. Overnight 20th & 21st January. 0059 21/01/2019 . Item stolen found later in the Alleyway between the Salford Road and Court Way.

  • *Burglary Business. Shop, Bidford. Person seen breaking into the front of shop. He has entered and triggered the security smoke screen. The man has then come out and got into a Silver car, possibly a Freelander which has then made off over the bridge towards the Honeybourne Road. It is not believed anything was stolen. 4.45am Monday 21st January. 0030 21/01/2019


  • *Vehicle Crime. Priors Grange, Salford Priors. Lock on back of vehicle forced open and pedal cycle stolen from inside. YT Capra, Pro Race, Black and Yellow in colour, worth approx. £5000. Between 2am and 3am Monday 21st January. 0128 21/01/2019


  • *Burglary Residential. Ardens Grafton. Offender(s) have forced open the door to workshop. Untidy search made. Items stolen. Overnight 22nd & 23rd January. 0081 23/01/2019


  • *Suspicious Circumstances. Wharf Lane, Wilmcote. Someone has rang the doorbell at house in the early hours. Resident concerned that something untoward was occurring. 3am Saturday 26th January. 0059 26/01/2019


  • *Burglary Business. Binton Road, Welford. Sports Pavilion broken into. Untidy search of inside made. Damage caused to doors. Items stolen. Between 20th & 25th January. 0212 25/01/2019
