Man jailed for Rugby drug offences

An arrest made by officers from the Rugby Offender Management Unit has resulted in a man being jailed for drug supply offences.

Maciej Wojcicki, 21, of Omega Place, Rugby, was arrested by plain clothed officers in August 2018 after they spotted him acting suspiciously in an alleyway off Murray Road, Rugby.

The officers seized ecstasy, amphetamines and cannabis with a cash value of £230.

Appearing at Warwickshire Magistrates' Court on Wednesday (9 January), Wojcicki pleaded guilty to possession of class A and B drugs with intent to supply and was jailed for two years and six months.

Detective Constable Gary Hammond from Rugby Offender Management Unit said: "We are committed to disrupting the supply of drugs in Rugby. This sentencing should act as a warning to people dealing drugs that we are looking for you and we will take action."
