Bedworth SNT host Christmas event

This year Bedworth SNT will be holding our very own Christmas Initiative called "The 12 Days of Christmas". This will incorporate the Warwickshire Police Operation Christmas Presence, but we will be putting our own slant on it, offering different engagement events and activities to our Communities. We will let you know the dates of when we will be conducting 12 days of events or operations across Bedworth, so watch this space.

Throughout December we will use 12 different duty days to conduct various activities ranging from generic policing operations, such as Drink Driving.

We are kicking off our 12 Days of Christmas with a community and partner event in Bedworth Town Centre on Tuesday 4 December at Bedworth Methodist Church.

The event is a "One Stop Shop" and drop in for our communities to come along and receive information, guidance, and input from the Police, West Midlands Ambulance Service, Warwickshire Fire & Rescue, Bedworth Food bank, Doorway, the CAB, Age UK, Neighbourhood Watch, Community Safety Team (Police and County Council), and others (TBC).

The point of this is to highlight safety issues and provide reassurance to our communities in the run up to Christmas. There will be advice offered around home security, fire safety, mental health, vulnerability, homelessness, and online safety.

As well as being hosts for this partnership event, the Methodist Church will also be holding it's coffee morning, so that residents can come along for a chat and a brew at the same time.

This will run from 10am until 2pm, and residents can pop along at any time during this event.

A spokesperson from Bedworth Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) said: "This is the first part of our 12 days of Christmas Operation being run and organised by Bedworth SNT. It is supporting Warwickshire Police's Operation: Christmas Presence, where enhanced levels of policing and engagement will be taking place during this busy period. Look out for our other events which will be happening soon, and check out our Twitter @Bedworthcops for regular updates. We want our residents and communities to have the advice and support they may need in the run up to Christmas and the new year, and it is important to remind people that Police work alongside other partnership groups and agencies to ensure that safety is increased and harm is reduced."
