Man charged with Rugby burglary

A man has been charged after three televisions, a sandwich maker and two duvets were stolen during a burglary in George Street, Rugby.

Detectives charged Ashley Parke, 33, of Meadow Road, Rugby, with burglary.

Parke appeared at Warwickshire Magistrates' Court yesterday (Tuesday 27 November) and was remanded in custody to appear at Warwickshire Crown Court on 18 December.

A 27-year-old man from Wednesbury also arrested on suspicion of burglary has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

It comes following the burglary which occurred in the early hours of Sunday (25 November).
