CORRECTED: Three alleged victims identified and one arrest made in human trafficking and modern slavery investigation

Warwickshire Police has launched an investigation following allegations of modern slavery and human trafficking in Rugby.

Earlier today (Wednesday 28 November), Police executed warrants at a hand car wash in Rugby and a residential property in Abbey Street, Rugby. They arrested a 33-year-old man from Rugby on suspicion of human trafficking.

Three alleged victims have been identified and measures have been put in place to safeguard them.

Investigations are ongoing. Anyone with information that could help police with their enquiries should call 101 quoting incident 113 of 27 November 2018. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
