Rural Crime Evening is a Raging Success!

Warwickshire Rural Watch working with Warwickshire Police, NFU Mutual, Warwickshire Fire & Rescue, Warwickshire County Council, North Warwickshire Borough Council & Warwickshire Horse Watch was on hand to help some residents of our most isolated communities.

The event, which was held at Kingsbury Water Park, was also attended by local MP David Reilly and Warwickshire Police PCC Phillip Seccombe. Officers from North Warwickshire Borough Council were on hand to help farmers and owners of rural properties deal with and advise on tactics to deterring Fly Tipping and other environmental issues.

Arson Reduction

Warwickshire County Council also attended in its Trading Standards Capacity with information and advice relating to Farming and Animal Welfare Standards. Warwickshire Fire & Rescue Service were on hand to offer information and advice relating to Fire Prevention and Arson Reduction.

Police & Crime Commissioner

Warwickshire Horse Watch were on hand to offer advice and information relating to Horse and Equine Security, an area which is a very real issue in our rural communities. Warwickshire Police officers Insp Dave Williams, PC Scot Ramsell, PCSO Pete Beale, PCSO Craig Marshall & PCSO Mo Yaqub and were on hand to help with the latest crime prevention advice including securing rural properties, farms and protecting machinery.

Safer Neighbourhood Team

Residents also had the opportunity to scrutinise the police on rural crime and latest crime trends. NFU Mutual was also on hand to offer advice, information and also provided the refreshments for the event, which started at 7.30pm on Tuesday 27th November 2018.

PCSO Craig Marshall, PCSO for the Coleshill area, said "These events are fantastic opportunities for residents to have all agencies under one roof, especially with Senior police officers here and the Police and Crime Commissioner"
