Witness appeal over Nuneaton pub disorder

Two males suffered head injuries following disorder at The Railway Tavern in Nuneaton in the early hours of Saturday (17 November).

Police received a report of violent disorder at the pub at 12.55am.

They arrived to find a 17-year-old boy with an injury to his eye and forehead.

A short time later, in nearby Newtown Road near to Asda, a 24-year-old man suffered an injury to his ear after allegedly being struck with a bottle.

Police are treating the two incidents as linked. An 18-year-old man from Nuneaton has been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder in connection with the incident at The Railway Tavern and causing grievous bodily harm in connection with the incident in Newtown Road.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who was in the pub at the time or anyone who may have information about either incident.

Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101 quoting incident 13 of 17 November 2018. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
