Theft of Vauxhall Corsa Parts, Water Orton

Warwickshire Police are appealing for Witnesses / Information after a string of thefts of Vauxhall Corsa Car Parts from Water Orton

Between 6th September and 13th November 2018. Since the 6th September 5 Vauxhall Corsa's have had their passenger windows smashed and the vehicles have been stripped down of the front bumpers, lights, grille, associated wiring and bonnet.

  • The first incident occurred on Coleshill Road, Water Orton on 6th September 2018. On this occasion a 2016 Vauxhall Corsa was attacked.
  • The second incident occurred on Orton Close on the 7th September 2018, a 2013 Vauxhall Corsa was attacked
  • The third incident occurred on Orton Close on the 19th September 2018, a 2013 Vauxhall Corsa was attacked
  • The fourth incident occurred on Coleshill Road, on the 26th September 2018 when a 2014 Vauxhall Corsa was attacked
  • The latest incident occurred on Manor House Lane on the 13th November 2018 when a 2012 Vauxhall Corsa was attacked.

Police are also advising owners of Vauxhall Corsa's to be particularly aware of this latest trend and consider, where available

  • Parking the vehicle in a secure garage
  • Parking the vehicle under a CCTV Camera
  • Investing in a good quality aftermarket alarm with bonnet trigger
  • Parking the vehicle nose on a driveway, close to a garage or wall to prevent access to the front of the vehicle

We are aware that West Midlands Police are also suffering with a staggering increase in these incidents - and we are working cross border to identify those responsible.
