Appeal after robbery at shop in Nuneaton

Detectives are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following a robbery at a shop in Nuneaton.

The incident happened between 10.39pm and 10.59pm yesterday (Sunday 4 November) at the One Stop in Weddington Road.

Staff were locking up when three males with their faces covered threatened them before leaving with a quantity of cash and cigarettes.

Detective Inspector Lisa Sears from Nuneaton CID said: "I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the incident, or saw anyone acting suspicious, to contact Warwickshire Police.

"Given the amount of cigarettes stolen it is likely they fled in a vehicle and we believe this may have been parked in Cleaver Gardens, just up the road from the One Stop. We're keen to speak to anyone living in this road who saw or heard anything suspicious."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Warwickshire Police by calling 101, quoting incident 433 of 4 November 2018. Alternatively, contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via www.crimestopper-uk.org
