Girl seriously injured in Harbury collision

A teenage girl suffered serious injuries after a vehicle recovery truck collided with her in Chesterton Road, Harbury.

The collision, which occurred close to Chesterton Windmill, happened at around 5.30pm yesterday (Wednesday 31 October).

The girl was taken to hospital by ambulance where she remains in a serious condition. Her family has been informed.

Sergeant Jem Mountford from the Warwickshire serious collision investigation team said: "Chesterton Road is a popular shortcut during rush hour. I am appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the collision or the girl prior to the collision, to contact us.

"I would also ask anyone who travelled along the road around the time of the collision to check dash cam recordings to see if they have any footage of the girl walking along the road or the truck."

Anyone with information that could help police with their enquiries is asked to call 101 quoting incident 320 of 31 October 2018.
