Appeal for information following burglary in Nuneaton

Warwickshire Police is appealing for information following a burglary in Nuneaton.

The incident occurred at H Johnson and Son Jewellers in Queens Road at 9.40am on Saturday (27 October). A blue Volkswagen Golf mounted the pavement at a pedestrian crossing on the A444 and reversed to the shop. Three men got out the vehicle and forced entry to the shop with an angle grinder and sledgehammer. They fled with watches.

The car was found burnt out on Bracebridge Street a few minutes later.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the car in the area prior to the incident. They are also keen to hear from anyone with dash cam footage from the area around the time of the incident.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Warwickshire Police on 101 quoting incident 93 of 27 October 2018. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
