Appeal for witnesses following assault - Rugby

Officers investigating an assault in Rugby yesterday evening (Tuesday 18 September) are appealing for witnesses or information.

Police were called to Warwick Street shortly after 5.45pm, following a report that a man was found with a suspected stab wound to his leg.

A 19-year-old man was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment, and has since been discharged.

The offenders are described as two black males who were wearing dark clothing with their hoods up, and a white male who was taller and had tattoos.  

A scene guard was in place whilst officers conducted enquiries but has now been removed.

Detective Sergeant Stephen Flavell from Rugby Police Station said: "We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone who may have any information to please make contact.

"An investigation is ongoing and we would ask anyone who was in the area at the time or who can assist with enquiries to please call 101, quoting incident 355 of 18 September 2018."
