Appeal for witnesses following rape - Nuneaton

Warwickshire Police is appealing for witnesses or information following a reported rape in Nuneaton.

At around 2pm on Thursday 19 July, an 18-year-old woman was reported to have been raped inside a property on Tennant Street. The incident was reported to police on Saturday 15 September.

The offender is described as a white man, around 19 years old, 6ft tall and of a slim build. He had brown/blonde short hair, blue or green eyes, and was wearing grey work trousers with a black polo t-shirt which had a blue logo on. It's believed he was travelling in a dark grey four-door car, possibly a Ford.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Kate Williams said: "This was clearly a distressing incident for the victim and we have specially trained officers providing her support at this time.

"We understand the concern incidents such as this cause and are carrying out extensive enquiries to trace the person responsible. If anyone witnessed any suspicious activity, or a car similar to the one described in the area at the time, please come forward."
