Appeal following assault of man in Nuneaton

Detectives in Nuneaton are appealing for information after a man suffered serious face injuries in an assault on Park Street, Nuneaton.

The incident occurred at around 5.30pm pm Friday 3 August. The 21-year-old man was found by officers on Attleborough Road and taken to hospital.

He told officers he was assaulted by two men who got out of  a dark coloured car .

Detective Constable Surj Hundal said: "We would like to identify the two men responsible for this assault that left a man with serious injuries to his face and needing a long stay in hospital.

"The victim recalls hearing a woman shouting at the men to stop. We're keen to speak to that woman.

"There was also a lot of traffic in the area at the time due to temporary traffic lights at the junction of Park Street and Attleborough Road. There's a good chance someone would have witnessed the incident or seen something suspicious.

"Anyone with information that could help our enquiries should call 101 quoting incident 356 of 3 August 2018. If you would like to give the information anonymously, you can always call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or online at Crimestoppers-uk.org."
