Police appeal for help to find stolen motorbikes, downhill bikes, and gardening equipment

Police are appealing for help to trace two trial motorbikes (both tagged), two downhill bikes, and gardening equipment stolen from an address in Foxhill Lane, Alvechurch, near Birmingham last night.

The burglary occured overnight between Wednesday 29/Thursday 30 August. The items were stolen after a garage was broken into.

The items taken were:

 -   one white Montesa Honda 4rt motobike, with a red and black seat.

 -   one red Honda crf 150 Moto X bike, fitted with 10 inch super moto wheels

 -   two Trek Downhill mountain bikes

 -  garden strimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers and other equipment

The theft is possibly connected to the sighting in Alvechurch at about 2.50am on Thursday 30 August of a saloon car driving at speed with bikes on the roof, shortly followed by a white mid sized van. It is believed the car travelled straight over the crossroads into the village square and then on to Radford Road.

Police Staff Investigator Paula Gimbert said: "These items are very distinctive and we are encouraging people to let us know if you believe you have seen them. If you spot them or see them being offered for sale please contact police without delay."

Anyone with information that could help police with their investigation is asked to call 101 and quote incident 123S of 29 August 2018. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
