Warwickshire Police releases its Force Management Statement

Warwickshire Police has today (Thursday, 23 August) released its Force Management Statement (FMS) outlining the major demands on the service for the coming years.

This year, Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Services (HMICFRS) introduced a new requirement for all police forces to produce an FMS.

The FMS is a self-assessment prepared by every Chief Constable and given to HMICFRS each year detailing:

  •     the demand the force expects to face in the next four years

  •     how the force will change and improve its workforce and other assets to cope with that demand

  •     how the force will improve its efficiency to make sure the gap between future demand and future capability is as small as it can reasonably be

  •     the money the force expects to have to do all this

The statement has been informed by a number of sources, data and departmental leads.
