Rural crime

Crime prevention advice for the rural community

We are providing crime prevention advice to our rural community in relation to security around your property. By adopting some crime prevention measures in your area you will hopefully reduce the possibility of being a victim of crime.

Targets are trailers, quads, horse boxes, power washers, tools and farm equipment. This normally occurs during the hours of darkness as there is less chance of being observed and detected, the general public are not about and it is easier to see other vehicles and persons approaching.

Engagement with our rural communities has provided information that most farms and outbuildings are 'cased' during daylight hours by 'unauthorised callers' using various plausible excuses.
