Boy appears in court charged with burglary and theft of car in Exhall

A 17-year-old boy from Coventry has appeared at Warwickshire Magistrates' Court in connection with a burglary and car theft in Exhall on Saturday (28 July).

The alleged burglary occurred on Davies Road, Exhall. Someone allegedly broke into to the house and took the occupants car keys before fleeing in their car.

The boy was arrested at 2.45am in Coventry after officers from Warwickshire Police spotted the car.

Following the arrest a knife was seized by officers.

The boy was charged with burglary, aggravated vehicle taking, and possession of a knife. He was also charged with another burglary in Coventry on 25 July.

The boy appeared at Warwickshire Magistrates' Court on Monday (30 July) and will appear again at Coventry Magistrates' Court today (Thursday 2 August).
