Further witness appeal after fatal collision on Mancetter Road, Atherstone

Officers from Warwickshire Police are issuing a renewed appeal for witnesses after a motorcyclist died in a collision near St Peter's Church on Mancetter Road in Atherstone on Thursday, 5 July.

Police and ambulance services were called to the incident shortly after 4:30pm after receiving a report of an Aprilia motorcycle being involved in a collision with a grey Peugeot car.

Sadly the motorcycle driver, a 16-year-old boy, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Peugeot was not injured.

Previous information appeals have identified further witnesses that have now been spoken to but investigating officers are keen to speak with the driver of a tractor who is believed to have been driving in front of the vehicles at the time of the collision.

This driver may have important information that could help establish what happened in the moments before the collision.
