Police appeal for information after man seriously injured in non-stop collision

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to about a non-stop collision that occurred in Exhall on Tuesday 17 April.

A 54-year-old man was left in hospital following the collision on Narrowboat Close.

Police were called to the incident at 10.23am following a report that the victim had confronted two people who had allegedly broken into a house.

The people fled the scene in a blue Vauxhall Astra SRI bearing the false number plate starting with BV67, colliding with the man and causing serious leg injuries.

Police Staff Investigator Len Bell said: "This was an appalling incident and I am shocked that the driver left the scene leaving the victim lying in the road.

"If you have any information that could assist our investigation, please get in touch so we can find the person responsible."

Anyone with information should call Warwickshire Police on 101 quoting incident 111 of 17 April 2018, or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
