Appeal for witnesses following assault - Nuneaton

Warwickshire Police is appealing for witnesses or information following an assault in Nuneaton in the early hours of yesterday morning (Sunday 3 June).

At around 3.30am, a verbal altercation took place between two men outside the library on Church Street. One of the men, aged in his thirties, was then punched to the face, causing him to fall the the ground. He sustained facial injuries which required hospital treatment.

The suspect is described as a mixed race man, around 5ft 11ins, believed to be in his thirties, of a medium build with short shaven dark hair and slight stubble. He was believed to be wearing a black t-shirt and black jeans, and was thought to be with another group of males.

A 38-year-old man from Nuneaton was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm assault. He has been released under investigation.
