Police appeal following theft of ATM machine in Chapel End, Nuneaton

We are appealing for witnesses following a theft of an ATM machine at a store on Coleshill Road in Chapel End, Nuneaton.

The incident happened between 1:25am and 1:40am this morning, Friday 4 May.

A number of men were seen getting out of a silver people carrier style car and breaking into commercial premises before removing a cash machine located in the store and loading it into their vehicle.

The vehicle then made off in the direction of Coleshill, stopping at the bottom of School Hill.

A white Audi Saloon was also spotted acting suspiciously close to the scene.

Detective Sergeant Amjad Iqbal said: "Fortunately no one was injured as a result of this incident but we would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, seen the silver people carrier style car or Audi Saloon, or who may have seen any suspicious activity earlier in the day.

"If anyone has any video footage or photos of the incident we would be grateful to receive these.  We will be conducting house-to-house enquiries over the next few days but urge anyone with any information to please call Warwickshire Police on 101 or call Crime stoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting incident number 15 of 4 May."
