Alcester Police North SNT. Latest Weekly Report. Sunday 15th April 2018

Hello all.

This is our latest weekly report and prompt to see if you have any questions, suggestions or concerns for the Alcester Police North Safer Neighbourhood Team. Thank you to those that have contacted us this week.

Incidents of note:-

COUGHTON

* *Damage. Coughton Hill, Coughton. Lights seen in field. When external building lights came on, two people were seen in the field. It was later discovered that a wooden fence post had been damaged possibly by someone trying to get into the garden. 11.50pm Friday 13th April. 0220 14/04/2018

* *Anti-Social Behaviour. Coughton Lane, Coughton. Male driver from car seen to get out and possibly go to urinate near to the hedge. The man left when he realised he was being watched. Caller concerned that this is an ongoing issue with people using the lane as a toilet and also leaving litter at the same time. 10am Saturday 14th April. 0111 14/04/2018

STUDLEY

* *Damage. Birmingham Road, Studley. Green chain link fence cut. Possibly done by offender(s) trying to get to sheds nearby. Between 10th & 11th April. 0093 12/04/2018

* *Burglary Residential. Birmingham Road, Studley. Secure garden shed broken into and items stolen including a kitchen knife set, old Sony video camera and Levelling set. Offender(s) have cut through a perimeter fence in order to access the garden. Overnight 10th & 11th April. 0192 11/04/2018

* *Burglary Residential. Birmingham Road, Studley. Secure garden shed broken into and items stolen including Dwalt cordless drills. Offender(s) have cut through a rear wire mesh fence in order to gain access to garden. Overnight 10th & 11th April. 0186 11/04/2018

* *Damage. Birmingham Road, Studley. Wire fence surrounding garden cut from top to bottom. Intel from the area suggest that the offenders were two males and one female, one of them carrying a set of bolt / wire cutters. Found and reported morning of the 11th April. 0102 11/04/2018

* *Suspicious Circumstances. High Street, Studley. Caller reporting three males acting suspiciously in the area. Seen to approach people walking their dogs, asking them about the animal etc. Described as aged about 16 / 17 years, all with Irish accents. No offences disclosed. 6pm Friday 6th April. Reported on the 9th April. 0351 09/04/2018

* *Theft. Pub, Priory Square, Studley. Cancer Charity collecting tin stolen from pub. Offender described as a white female, late 20's early 30's, slim build, 5' 5", mousy brown coloured hair which was tied back. 5.15pm Sunday 8th April. 0384 08/04/2018

MAPPLEBOROUGH GREEN

* *Burglary Residential. Birmingham Road, Mappleborough Green. Entry gained to house through patio doors. Untidy search of premises. Member of the public saw that the gates to the premises had been 'ripped' open so stopped to check and saw that the house had been broken into. Cash and car keys had been stolen. Subsequently a Lexus and a Toyota Prius was then also stolen from outside. The Prius was later found abandoned in Birmingham. Between 11.30pm 13th and 2am 14th April. 0043 14/04/2018

MORTON BAGOT

* *Suspicious Circumstances, Spernal Lane, Morton Bagot. White van seen acting suspiciously in the area. Caller concerned it has been involved in previous crime in the area. Last three letters of registration number 'OGS'. A second call also reported this van and another Blue van with a registration number ending in 'CRJ' in the area. Both vehicles left the area towards the A435. No offences disclosed at the time. 10.15pm Friday 13th April.

ULLENHALL

* *Burglary Residential. Forde Hall Lane, Ullenhall. Passing member of the public heard an alarm sounding at house. They then also saw two males in the garden of the property who got into a Blue Audi which drove off towards Tanworth. On police arrival it was found that the house and been broken into and an untidy search of the house made. It wasn't known at the time if anything was stolen. 11am Tuesday 10th April. 0118 10/04/2018

CLAVERDON

* *Suspicious Circumstances. Glebe Road, Claverdon. Man in a white Vauxhall Astra Van seen acting suspiciously in the area. Man seen to go to a number of houses and knock the front door. The last three letters of the registration number was 'CLZ'. Full details passed to police. Male described as white, stocky build, bald head, wearing dark workman's clothes. 9am Thursday 12th April. 0086 12/04/2018

* *Suspicious Circumstances. Kington Close, Claverdon. Silver Fiesta containing two men seen acting suspiciously in the area. Vehicle sped off when the driver realised he was being watched. No offences disclosed. Details of registration number given to police. 9.30am Tuesday 10th April. 0079 10/04/2018

HATTON

* *Damage. Commercial Premises, Hatton. Circuit board to electric gate ripped out, possibly with the intention to try and gain entry. Overnight 8th & 9th April. 0121 09/04/2018

HOCKLEY HEATH

* *Burglary Business. Umberslade, Hockley Heath. Farm workshop and sheds broken into and several items of equipment stolen. A vending machine was also damaged by the offender(s) trying to access the cash inside. Overnight 13th & 14th April. 0068 14/04/2018

CCTV Footage - We know there has been an increase in private CCTV systems being installed on our area, and we thank those that have provided footage of suspicious vehicles and persons near to their properties.
