Partnership Problem Solving.

Due to an increase in burglaries in and around the North Warwickshire villages, the local SNT team and Rural Crime officer worked tirelessly putting problem solving ideas into action to support our local communities.

Shift changes were agreed by our new Sergeant, which allowed us to patrol the areas affected by the burglaries. The Community Van was used as well as marked police cars to provide a visible presence and encourage local residents to engage with local officers as they patrolled the area.

Communication between the police and public was very important on all mediums, not just to assist in the arrest of the offenders, but to keep residents up to date on incidents and what was happening to address their concerns.

This led to a local resident calling the police about a suspicious vehicle which was found to be linked with several of the burglaries and was later found by SNT officers; the vehicle also had links with cross border crimes with Leicestershire and Staffordshire Police, with Staffordshire officers making an arrest of four males.
