Investigation concludes into death of Atherstone man

Officers investigating the death of Jake Palfreyman from Atherstone have completed their investigation and are handing a file to the coroner.

Jake, who was aged 21, died from head injuries in hospital on the morning of 29 May 2017 after being involved in an incident on Barsby Close, Atherstone the day before.

Following the investigation a file was submitted to the Crown Prosecution Service who decided there was insufficient evidence to take any further action against a 50-year-old man from Atherstone and a 32-year-old man from Coventry. Both men were previously arrested on suspicion of murder.
