Bedworth man charged with wounding

Elliott Crockwell, aged 24, of Willis Grove, Bedworth has been charged with wounding with intent and threatening a person with a weapon in a public place.

Crockwell was arrested after a 25-year-old man from Nuneaton suffered stab wounds during an incident on Willis Grove on Thursday (25 January) night.

The incident was reported to police at 10.40pm.

The victim was taken to hospital suffering from stab wounds to the chest, neck and head. He remains in hospital where he is in a serious but stable condition.

A 48-year-old woman from Bedworth was also arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault after it is alleged she hit a man providing medical attention, causing a minor injury to his face. She has been released under investigation.

Crockwell will appear at Warwickshire Magistrates Court today (Saturday 27 January).
