Man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after man suffers stab wounds in Bedworth

Police have arrested a man on suspicion of attempted murder after a man suffered stab wounds in Bedworth yesterday (Thursday 25 January).

Police were called to a house on Willis Grove at 10.40pm where they found a man in a communal area with stab wounds to the chest, neck and head.

The 25-year-old man from Nuneaton was taken to hospital where his injuries are described as life threatening.

The 24-year-old from Bedworth was arrested at the scene.

A 48-year-old woman from Bedworth was also arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault after it is alleged she hit a man providing medical attention, causing a minor injury to his face.

Detective Inspector Neil Reader said: "We'll have a significant police presence in the area throughout the day and I'd appeal for anyone who has information that could assist our investigation to speak to an officer or call us on 101 quoting incident 433 of 25 January 2018.
