Three charged in non-recent offences investigation

Officers investigating reports of non-recent offences against a teenage girl in the 1990s have charged three people.

Helen Thompson, aged 43, of Morris Close, Rugby, has been charged with the kidnap of the girl in Rugby in 1998.

Raymond Nathaniel Dickens, aged 53, of Langdale Close, Rugby and Balbir Jhutti, aged 57, of Horse Shoe Road, Coventry have been charged with indecently assaulting the girl in Leicestershire in 1997

All three will appear at Warwickshire Magistrates Court on 20 December 2017.

Peter Livingstone Jones, aged 55, of Wheelwright Lane, Coventry, was previously charged with raping the girl and another girl in Rugby in 1998, one count of kidnapping the girl in Rugby in 1998 and one count of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence in relation to an alleged incident involving girl in 1998. He was also charged with possession of bladed article in a public place in connection with an alleged incident on Wednesday 8 November 2017.

Jones appeared at Warwickshire Magistrates Court on Friday 10 November where he was remanded to appear at Warwickshire Magistrates Court on 11 December 2017 on the charge of possession of a bladed article in a public place. He will appear at Warwickshire Crown Court on 14 December in connection with the other charges.
