Appeal for witnesses after attempted robbery in Bulkington

Detectives from Warwickshire Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an attempted robbery at Coventry Building Society in Bulkington last night (13 November).

The incident happened around 8pm, when three men reported to be wearing balaclavas and carrying crowbars have approached the building as security guards made a cash delivery.

Staff and security guards locked themselves in the building and the offenders left the scene empty handed.

Det Sgt Adam Clifford of Nuneaton CID said: "Thankfully, nobody was injured during the incident but it was an understandably distressing situation for the victims.

"We believe the offenders left the area in a grey Audi and we are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen this vehicle in the area last night to contact us on 101, quoting incident number 431 of 13 November.
