Police appeal for witnesses following robbery in Earlswood

Warwickshire Police is appealing for witnesses after a report of a robbery at Earlswood Lakes, Earlswood Common, Solihull at 9.27am on Monday, October 2, 2017

The victim, a man in his 50s, was approached and threatened by a man with two bladed weapons who then demanded money.  The suspect made off with a small amount of money towards Wood Lane, Earlswood.

He is described as white, in his early 20s, with short blond hair, wearing jeans and a green parka coat.

Detective Constable Thomas Quinlan from Warwickshire Police said: "This was a frightening incident for the victim and it is fortunate that they were not injured.

"I understand that the local community will be concerned and I would like to reassure them that a thorough investigation is underway. I would urge anyone who witnessed anything suspicious to come forward as soon as possible."
