Two men die after Wolvey light aircraft crash

A second man has sadly died following the incident yesterday (28 September).

Emergency services were called to reports of a light aircraft crash in a field near Grove Farm, Wolvey at 4.08pm yesterday (28 September).

A 55-year old man and a 56-year-old man travelling in the aircraft suffered serious burns and were airlifted to QE Birmingham, where they later died.  

Next of kin have been notified and officers from Warwickshire Police are supporting the families at this difficult time.

The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) has been notified and is investigating the incident.
